These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of ASEAN JOBS Website.

In using this website you are deemed to have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions: Do not continue to use ASEAN JOBS website if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated on this page. You represent that you are over the age of 18. The ASEAN JOBS website does not permit those under 18 to use this website. Your access to and use of the website is also conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy of the organisation. Our Privacy Policy describes Our Policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of Your Personal Information when You use the Website and tells You about your privacy rights and how the law protects You. Please read Our Privacy Policy carefully before using Our Service.


The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice, and any or all Agreements:

    1. “Employer” means an entity who places a job advertisement or promotes any job-related activities via the website.
    2. “Website” means ASEAN JOBS.
    3. “Job Seeker(s)” means users seeking employment.
    4. “Client”, “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person (Job Seeker(s)), and the entity (Employer) accessing this website and accepting the Organisation’s terms and conditions.
    5. “The Organisation”, “Ourselves”, “We” and “Us”, refer to The ASEAN Foundation that administers the ASEAN JOBS website under Bridges to the Future: ASEAN Youth Employment implemented with Plan International with the support of Google.Org.
    6. “Party”, “Parties”, or “Us”, refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves

General Uses of the Website

For the Job Seeker:

      • Job Seeker agrees that he/she shall only use the website for lawful purposes and seeking employment 

      • Job seeker agrees to keep his/her login name and password with care and not to disclose them to any other person. Job seeker is solely responsible for maintaining confidentiality, safekeeping and security of such login name and password. 

      • Job seeker confirms and acknowledges that he/she discloses his/her personal data and all other information to the employers  and to our organisation of his/her own volition when he/she applies for available job vacancies posted on or through the website. By submitting, uploading, and completing the profile from the website, Job seeker authorises the organisation to store his/her information, resume and data thereto in the database of ASEAN JOBS. Job Seekers may send his/her resume and other related information or data directly to any Employer who posts the vacancies on or through the site. Alternatively, Job Seeker’s resume and the related information or data will remain active on the Website and be stored in the database at his/her own risk unless and until he/she chooses to delete them. Job seeker acknowledges and agrees that his/her resume and the related information or data may be accessed by the Employer who has subscribed to the services provided by ASEAN JOBS for the sole purpose of recruiting and assessing the suitability of Job Seekers. The organisation also reserve the right to reject, disapprove, or edit any part or a full profile of the Job Seeker profile and information and data that are inaccurate, false, illegal, unlawful, infringe copyright/trademark/trade name/trade secret or infringe any other intellectual property rights or invade the privacy, or in general violates this terms and conditions. 

      • Job seeker agrees that the organisation may use his/her personal data (without his/her name, address, and other personally identifiable information) for marketing purposes which may be directed to either potential Employer, their respective agents or anyone under their employ. 

      • Job seeker acknowledges that although the organisation shall use its reasonable endeavours to restrict access to the Database only to the Employers and personnel of ASEAN JOBS, it does not guarantee that other parties will note, without the organisation consent, gain access to the database. Job seekers may be disable searching or viewing his/her resume or profile by the Employer at any time. However, Job Seeker acknowledges that the Employers and other parties who have otherwise gained access to the Database may have retained a copy of Job Seeker resume or personal information. The organisation is not responsible for the retention, use or privacy of resumes and profile information and other data in these instances, or for the use or privacy of resumes by any of such parties while the resumes are in the Database. 

      • Job Seeker’s communication or business dealings with, or participation in promotions organized by, Employers found on or through the Site are solely between the Job Seeker and Employer. The organisation shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any type or nature incurred as a result of any such dealings or as a result of the presence of the Employers on the website or as a result of the accuracy or truthfulness of any information or data posted by the Employers. 

      • The organisation will not be responsible or held liable in any way if any Employer or other parties, , uses the Job Seeker’s personal data, information or materials in breach of Terms and Conditions  Job Seeker accepts that all personal data, information or materials are given to Employer or other parties, or submitted on or through the Website, are given entirely at his/her own risk.

For the Employer :

      • Employer agrees that he/she/the authorised representative shall only use the website for lawful purposes and based on these terms and conditions  

      • Employer will be entitled to access the Database on the case to case basis but agrees that all information or data obtained as a result of such access shall only be used for the sole purpose of recruiting and assessing the suitability of Job Seekers and that such information or data shall not be disclosed to any other parties without the prior consent of the Job Seeker concerned.  Employer acknowledges and agrees that it shall disregard any information or data received from Job Seeker which is irrelevant to recruiting and assessing the suitability of Job Seekers.

      • Employer shall be solely responsible for the contents of and materials contained in its advertisement and/or web page posted on the Website. The organisation reserves the right to remove or edit, or require the removal or amendment of, any advertisement or web page as it sees appropriate, or to terminate or suspend the Employer’s access and use of the Site and/or services offered on or through the Site. Any misleading data and information provided by Employer to the organisation at the time of registration may result in termination of service to the Employer without any obligation for The organisation to pay any compensation or to provide any explanation

      • Employers agree to keep their login name and password with care and not to disclose them to any other person. Employer is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality, safekeeping and security of such login name and password and shall notify the organisation immediately of any unauthorized use of the same.

      • Employer acknowledges that although the organisation shall use its reasonable endeavours to restrict access to the Database only to the Employers and personnel of ASEAN JOBS, it does not guarantee that other parties will note, without the organisation consent, gain access to the database.  

      • The organisation shall have the right to review, approve and reject the application of potential employers based on values, vision and mission of the organisation. The organisation reserves the right to retract the approval and restrict the access of the employer should the organisation find the employer provided false information, engaged in illegal activity or other reason deemed necessary by the organisation.  

      • The organisation shall have the right to terminate any services offered to any Employer and to remove any advertisement and/or web page posted on the Website at The Organisation’ sole discretion, without any compensation, information or recourse to Employer in the event that the relevant Employer or the contents of the relevant advertisement and/or web page is or are in breach of any of the provisions herein. 

      • The organisation reserves the right to delete the Content(s) in the website if based on the organisation’s consideration, the Content(s) is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or violate relevant law and regulations, or deemed illegal in nature. 

      • The organisation will not be responsible or held liable in any way if any parties or entities, in breach of the Terms and Conditions, use the Employer’s personal and/or entity data, document, information or materials for any purpose other than for registration and/or verification purpose(s). Employer’s accept that all data, documents, information or materials given to the organisation or other User, or submitted on or through the website, are legally owned, or the Employer has the authority to make such submissions and given entirely at his/her own risk.

Exclusions and Limitations

The information on this web site is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, this Organisation:

      • Excludes all representations and warranties relating to this website and its contents or which is or may be provided by any affiliates or any other third party, including in relation to any inaccuracies or omissions in this website and/or the Organisation’s literature; and

      • Excludes all liability for damages arising out of or in connection with your use of this website. ASEAN JOBS will not guarantee that job seekers receive employment offers or opportunities through the use of the platform. The employment offers and hiring opportunities will be solely the decision and agreement of the Employer and the job seeker.

Notification of Changes

The Organisation reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit and your continued use of the site will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these terms. If there are any changes to our privacy policy, we will announce that these changes have been made on our home page and on other key pages on our site. If there are any changes in how we use our site customers’ Personally Identifiable Information, notification by e-mail will be made to those affected by this change. . You are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis.
